Since most of the assessment instruments in the market were made based on American culture, Muslim counselors should not use standardized assessment instruments at all. Discuss.

It is strongly disagreed that Muslim counselors should not use the standardized instruments at all as most of them were made based on American culture because it is a guideline, it is not totally wrong and it can be manipulated.
First argument why it is disagreed is it is a guideline. In fact, we all know that counseling is obtained in American and this service is one of the most active services that being provided and used. When it becomes to assessment instruments of course many of them will be build based on their culture. However, it is not an obstacle to the Muslim counselors to follow the assessment as a guideline and at the same time, it can be modified in order not to offend the circumscription in Islam.
Second argument is not all the assessment instruments are wrong. When we, the Muslim counselors use the assessment instruments we can detect which one is not appropriate to be used to us. Just because it follows American culture, it does not mean that we cannot use it at all but use it wisely.
Nevertheless, some people may say that since the assessment instruments are based on American culture, Muslim counselors should not use these standardized instruments at all. However, it is not a gaffe to use them as long as we know how to manipulate them. It is not a wrongdoing to use the standardized assessment in market as we, Muslim counselors can manipulate it in order to synonymously with Muslim culture.
In conclusion, Muslim counselors still can use the assessment instruments in the market although they are made based on American culture because they are one of the guidelines for Muslim counselors to assess their clients, they are not totally wrong and they can be manipulated. In order to have Muslim’s own assessment instruments, it is a good solution if we, the Muslim counselors can create or build another assessment instruments.
