“COUNSELORS ARE THE KEY TO THE SUCCESS OF THE ONE MALAYSIA CONCEPT”. DISCUSS..


Recently, the concept of one Malaysia becomes implemented to our country in which the idea was established from our prime minister “Dato Seri Najib Tun Abd. Razak.” In addition, this is becoming as a one idea to unite each races that has in Malaysia in term of Malay, Indian and Chinese. Meanwhile, our prime minister was establishing this concept in order to give an opportunity by providing the equality towards them. Then, what is the real concept of one Malaysia? Actually, this concept is emphasizing on the priority of achievement and citizenship. In the other hand, I am agreeing with the role of counselors in becoming as the key to the success of the one Malaysia concept in which, counselor also be as apart to implement this concept.
Next, in order for counselors to get success towards this concept: they should think something or develop one idea in order to start the equal right between each races and ethnic in Malaysia, by practicing and establishing respectfulness towards each race. For example, counselor should have the respectfulness in dealing with the differences between them and clients that comes from difference races. Then, counselor also should understand the uniqueness of clients’ culture by not focusing on their own.The reason of failure is that, counselors can not having the empathy skill in their self by they can not put their self and feels what are the clients dilemma and problem. It also same like the way to get the successfulness of one Malaysia concept, each race should have the respectfulness on the identity and uniqueness of other races without sacrificed the uniqueness and specialty of their own races. Last but not least, there are certain verses that encourage us as a Muslim to having respectfulness in our self.
Last but not least, counselors it self also should implement the values of one Malaysia that have stated as a principle of one Malaysia in which are knowing and respect the other races, humble, loyalty, acceptance and integrity so that it can becomes as the one reason to strengthen this concept during counseling session and clients it self can opened up their mind and change the attitudes to involves in our country vision. .
In conclusion, counselors should ensure their self and clients itself that coming from different races should unite and understanding each other by realizing their roles and responsibility in order to implement this concept towards our country that is including on our recent prime minister idea “Dato’ Seri Najib. Tun Abd. Razak.”
